Share Services Across Local Jurisdictions

Public services in Ohio are provided by more than 3,900 units of local government under the authority of more than 20,000 elected officials. To assist these local elected officials, the Kasich Administration developed a roadmap for a more cost-effective, collaborative way of doing business, called Beyond Boundaries: A Shared Services Action Plan for Ohio Schools and Governments. The Governor's Office of Health Transformation established multiple inter-agency project teams to apply the recommendations in Beyond Boundaries to Ohio's health and human services. The goal is to share services in a way that improves customer service, increases program efficiency, and reduces costs for Ohio's taxpayers.
