Improve Care Coordination

Most Ohioans enrolled in Medicaid receive care through a private-sector managed care plan. In 2013, Ohio Medicaid initiated several significant changes to its managed care program, including consolidation of health plan regions and populations to be more efficient, linking health plan payments to performance, integrating care delivery for Medicare-Medicaid enrollees, and enrolling new populations and providing new services in managed care.
